We are supporting North Yorkshire Council to recruit a Qualified Childrens' Social Worker for their Duty & Assessment Team. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a well-established and experienced team. The successful candidate will be paid up to £32 per hour dependent on experience This role is 37 hours per week 8:30 - 17:00, with some opportunity for agile working

Responsible for:

  • Manage and prioritise cases as allocated by the line manager
  • Assess children and their family's needs and make appropriate recommendations for services to achieve agreed outcomes
  • Participate in the allocation of cases and accept cases allocated by the Team
  • Manager commensurate with your level of experience.
  • Liaise with other agency professionals as necessary to fulfil the Directorates statutory duties and achieve best outcomes for children.
  • Fully engage in supervision and performance appraisal
  • Maintain good case records, write reports as required in line with departmental standards
  • Give evidence in court in relation to care or other proceedings.

Minimum Requirements:

  • ??SWE? Registration
  • 2 year post qualifying experience within UK
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
