We require a Vehicle Mot tester to join our clients Aftersales Department at a main dealership in York.
This role is predominantly for a Mot tester but will also require you to do the technician role during quiet times
Role and Responsibilities:
- To undertake Mot's, maintenance, service and repair activities on motor vehicles of all types to the highest standard
- Repair, test vehicles and diagnose their faults
- Replace components, parts, lubricants and consumables
- Keep work areas clean and tidy, organised
- Carry out work completely and effectively
- Advise and report on vehicle faults and servicing requirements while working on vehicles
The ideal candidate will:
- Have at least 2 years’ recent on the job experience with light vehicle certification
- Hold a valid MOT Card
- Excellent work ethic and team member
- Full UK driving licence
- Own tools
The successful applicant will be highly motivated, efficient and organised. This position is within a busy workshop environment, as such you will be provided with a competitive remuneration package depending on experience.
Salary of £35,000 for the right candidate or ote of £40,000, as well as industry leading This is a fulltime position includes 30 days’ annual leave, inc bank holidays. Plus your birthday off
The working days are Monday Friday with 1 in 3 Saturday mornings on a team rota
