Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry or related field
Description:
- Performs laboratory technical tasks
- Responsible for the care and maintenance of laboratory equipment
- Assist with Receipt, identification, and preparation of samples - ensure incoming samples are labeled correctly, appropriate analytical have been requested, prep and analyze samples according to work instructions
- Prioritization of analyses according to customer needs; organization and coordination of multiple projects in a high throughput lab environment
- Performance and improvement of various assay techniques, quality control implementation, direct communication with scientists, analysis of quantitative results, reporting results via LIMS/email
- Ensure work is conducted in compliance with safety, compliance, business conduct policies and procedures and demonstrating the Global Breeding values
- Basic knowledge of balances, pipets, record keeping
- Reading and understanding standard operating procedures
- Various chemistry lab techniques dilution preparation, sample preparation
- NIR testing on corn, soybean, various crop samples
- Weighing and grinding of samples
