Principal Accountabilities

  • Must have the ability to assemble and disassemble all packaging equipment to include the CVP Sealer and combo assembly station along with securing the pallet jacks/forklift needed to handle all combos
  • Inspect combo seals and perform the final sealing of the carboard combos to meet the company and customer requirements
  • Must be able to operate label makers and be able to meet the labeling requirements per the BOM
  • Must be able to physically make the cardboard combos, insert the lines and all taping functions to meet customer and company guidelines
  • Must be able to secure license to operate a pallet jack and forklift to move filled and unfilled combos at standard rates for each of the products
  • Supports and contributes to effective safety efforts by adhering to established Cargill and OSHA safety policies, rules, regulations and procedures; wears appropriate PPE clothing and equipment during the performance of work duties; promotes accident prevention; reports injuries; utilizes proper lifting techniques; seeks guidance and assistance if needed; adheres to lock-out/tag-out procedures; identifies and reports unsafe conditions
  • Maintains good housekeeping practices; maintains a clean, uncluttered and safe work area including removing waste and trash as needed; and performs clean-up duties as required
  • Uses equipment, materials and time in an effective manner, minimizing waste and balancing cost, quality and quantity
  • Works smoothly and efficiently; follows directions; is punctual; is capable of being relied upon to be at work when required
  • Maintains and completes paperwork as required
  • Maintains open communications with managers, supervisors, group leaders, leads, Quality Control technicians, and other Company personnel as required and needed
  • Performs other duties, including other duties in all areas of production, as required or assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or visa sponsored by a third-party employer
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English
  • Must have basic math ability
  • Must be able to work weekends and overtime as required
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Must be attentive to details to follow set schedules and directions

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or production work environment 
  • Previous food manufacturing experience
  • Previous stand-up forklift, electric pallet jack, or Radio Frequency (RF) Scanner experience
  • Computer knowledge and skills
  • Recent related work experience
