Position Summary
Come join our team of dedicated colleagues who support medical benefit prior authorizations! The supervisor is responsible for providing operational leadership and direction for the Aetna Medical Specialty Prior Authorization business unit. The position has a primary focus on ensuring compliance with all state, federal, and client regulations and accreditations. Other key areas of focus include coaching and mentoring employees; quality improvement; innovation and reduction of unit costs. Responsibilities of the position include daily operational oversight, staff development, budget management, audit readiness, clinical staff training, and policy and procedure documentation. The leader will work with internal partners and the Medical prior authorization staff to service physicians, pharmacists and patients within service level agreements, as well as provide clinical expertise and support. Facilitates regular staff meetings to ensure all team members are fully versed in ongoing as well as new work area processes, policies and procedures, and expectations. The supervisor will have accountability for completing tasks aimed to successfully achieve the financial, operational, and quality objectives of the work area.
This is a remote position. Candidates can live in EST, CST, MT.
Required Qualifications
In depth knowledge of medical specialty drugs
3-5+ years of clinical experience with immunotherapy, monoclonal antibodies, cellular therapy products.
Must have active and unrestricted compact licensure in state of residence
Preferred Qualifications
In depth knowledge of oncology medications
Previous leadership experience
Experience collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to achieve patient outcomes
Organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks on a regular basis
Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills

Self-motivated with a strong attention to detail

Education
Bachelor's degree or Associates degree with equivalent experience required
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$60,522.80 - $129,600.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
