Mechanical Lab Machinist

What you’ll achieve

As a Mechanical Lab Machinist, you will be responsible for developing new innovation projects to support the Dell Client Product roadmaps. Our Experience Innovation Lab is equipped to build and modify prototypes and proof of concept models. 

You will:

·        Manufacture prototypes for Dell teams using Compute Numerical Control (CNC) and manual tooling

·        Manage Day to Day activities in coordination with the Engineering team

·        Manage workflow and priorities for proto-type fabrication

Essential Requirements

·        3-5 years of experience in a mechanical machinist role 

·        CNC Machining: must be able to setup and operate small volume runs using the latest techniques in manufacturing

·        CNC Programming using MasterCAM including complex 3D surfaces, 5-axis simultaneous, live tooling lathe and wire Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM)

·        CNC Programming using conversational tools at the machine

·        Part and Assembly Measurement, metrology and Inspection

Desirable Requirements

·        Machinist Technology Certificate

·        3D Modeling, Scanner and Printer Operator experience
