Principal Technical Professional - Electrical
Key accountabilities:
Under general supervision, independently applies advanced engineering
techniques, makes decisions on engineering problems and methods, and
represents the organization in conferences to resolve important questions or to negotiate with key engineers and officials of other organizations.
• Provides technical guidance to designers and less experienced engineers and
is consulted extensively by associates and others with a high degree of
reliance placed on scientific interpretations and advice.
• The Principal Technical Professional is part of the engineering design team and has a reporting line Electrical Discipline Manager. The responsibilities include ensuring that the discipline design is carried out in accordance with the stated objectives and that an appropriate level of inter-discipline co-ordination is maintained, through project meetings, document reviews, model reviews and
coordination meetings to result in a fully coordinated final design.
• The Principal Technical Professional responsibilities will also extend to the
development of discipline deliverables such as equipment specifications, data
sheets, requisitions, assistance with the preparation of general documents,
calculations and studies.
• The Principal Technical Professional will be responsible for ensuring that the
interface with client is working effectively and that all deliverables are
generated as per the project schedule.
• Resolution of day-to-day Electrical project technical issues.
• Training, development and mentoring of engineers and designers in order for
them to achieve their goals and aspirations.
• Participates in the development of policies and procedures; monitors work
activities to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures;
makes recommendations for changes and improvements to existing
procedures.
• Recommends and assists in the implementation of goals and objectives;
implements approved policies and procedures.
• Experience to work on inputs to Mechanical Packages
• Experience on PMS and SCADA system also preparation on I/O Schedules
and interface with Instrumentation and Control System disciplines
• Experience on HV/LV Switchgears design and coordination with suppliers.
Experience, Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:
• Minimum 10 + years' experience in Oil and Gas field.
• Bachelor of Engineering, Electrical and Electronics
• Master degree will be considered as advantage
• Caspian Project experience
• Experience especially on PMS and ICSS packages
• System Protection and Coordination experience is mandatory
• Package Management experience
