Rotating Packaged Equipment Engineer
Position Title: Principal Technical Professional - Mechanical Rotating
Work Location: Baku
Key accountabilities:
• Under general supervision, independently applies advanced engineering techniques, makes decisions on engineering problems and methods, and represents the organization in conferences to resolve important questions or to negotiate with key engineers and officials of other organizations.
• Provides technical guidance to designers and less experienced engineers and is consulted extensively by associates and others with a high degree of reliance placed on scientific interpretations and advice.
• Job role is responsible for a measurable asset such as an assigned staff and budget.
Experience/Skills:
• Professional training in rotating machinery (Pumps and/or Compressors) related design, fabrication, testing, commissioning, etc.
• Good understanding of centrifugal and reciprocating types of pumps and/or compressors including seal selection, lube oil and seal systems in Oil and Gas or Petrochemical industry.
• Excellent knowledge of international codes (API 610, API 617 etc.) and applicable standards, good engineering practices.
• Checking and approval of mechanical rotating machinery related detailed design activities and deliverables.
• Producing Mechanical Datasheets, Specifications etc. and completing Technical Bid Evaluations for rotating equipment.
• Ability to work in a multi-cultural business environment with people from different background. Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Comfortable working in a high intensity environment with significant autonomy.
• Chartered Engineer Status preferred/Working towards Chartered Engineer Status
• Skills are typically acquired through an undergraduate degree in Engineering and a minimum of 7 years related experience, with average experience ranging from 10+ years.
