Position Summary Details
This role performs a wide variety of plumbing tasks, including inspection, upkeep and repair, in an educational environment.Â

Essential Functions
- Provide quality plumbing services under the supervision of the electrical foremanÂ
- Ensure code compliance through proper installation of plumbing componentsÂ
Responsibilities
- Installs, repairs, and maintains pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems, and fixtures in educational structuresÂ
- Collaborates with general contractors, electricians, and other construction professionalsÂ
- Follows building plans and blueprintsÂ
- Responds to, diagnoses, and resolves plumbing emergenciesÂ
- Performs routine inspections of plumbing and drainage systemsÂ
- Light construction, carpentry, painting, plastering, flooring, ceiling and electrical work as requiredÂ
- Keeps accurate records of time spent working, description of work performed and materials usedÂ
- Is skilled in the use of hand and power tools used in the plumbing tradeÂ
- Has knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and safety practicesÂ
- Has ability to read and follow blueprints and rough drawingsÂ
- Familiar with PVC, CPVC, PEX, cast iron, and copperÂ
- Effective oral communication and interpersonal skillsÂ
- Ability to complete projects unsupervised and unassistedÂ
- Excellent problem solving skillsÂ
- Attention to detail and ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneouslyÂ
- Proficiency in basic mathematics and conversion of measurementsÂ
Qualifications
- 3+ years of plumber related experience required, plumbing certificate a plus
- Possess valid driver’s licenseÂ
- Must be 18 years of age or olderÂ
