Responsibilities:
- Required to operate box truck in a safe and professional manner at all times
- Delivers products to customers on time, while providing complete customer service
- Ensures route material is loaded and organized properly
- Transfers materials and items from truck to dock area or other designated area by hand, hand truck, manual pallet jack, or electric pallet jack
- Provides, completes and retains customer paperwork to include OS&D
- Serves as client representative communicating feedback to branch leadership
- Backhauls as required
- Maintains DOT logs daily and complies with all other DOT procedures/regulations
- Conducts Pre-trip and Post-trip inspections of truck and associated equipment in compliance with DOT regulation
- Maintains a clean, organized and safe work environment
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in commercial transportation or a graduate of an accredited truck driving school
- Possess knowledge of all applicable State and Federal DOT regulations
- Capacity to read and correctly interpret route manifests and invoices
- Ability and willingness to work varying routes and required overtime as assigned by Supervisor
- Must be able to lift heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation (occasionally 60-75 lbs.)
- Previous experience with an Automatic On-Board Recording Device (AOBRDs) such as OMNI Trax is preferred
