Be a part of something new! The University of Vermont Medical Center opened an alternative care unit in March of 2024. Shep 3 North has 18-20 long-term care patients that are awaiting placement. Patients on this unit will have a variety of different diagnoses. The environment of the unit is consistent with that of a long-term care facility. Candidates must have strong communication skills.

Full time positions are eligible for a 5,000 sign on bonus (prorated for part-time).

A relocation package of $5,200 is also available for relocating applicants.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Licensed Nurse Assistant is responsible for specific aspects of direct and indirect patient care under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. Responsibilities may include (but are not limited to): taking vital signs, responding to call lights, Electronic Medical Record documentation, personal care, including bathing, mouth care, toileting and skin care.

Our ideal candidates will be reliable, flexible, compassionate and empathetic. Must have a strong sense of teamwork and a focus on providing the best possible care to our patients.  Extraordinary time management is a must on our fast-paced inpatient units.  We have all specialties within our hospital and are currently looking for Licensed Nursing Assistants to join most of our inpatient teams.

EDUCATION:

LNA licensure within the State of Vermont.

EXPERIENCE:

Long Term Care experience Preferred
