Children's CenterJob Summary/Basic Function
The candidate will be hired as an aide , agree to be enrolled in a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential within three months of hire ,while at the same time gaining valuable daily hands on experience with children; after successfully completing the CDA courses and min of 1 year documented experience with children, the employee will be promoted to an Assistant Teacher.
Essential Functions:
- Assists in the implementation of daily program activities in assigned group(s).
- May be required to work in different classrooms throughout the day.
- Understand and follow all center guidelines and policies including Department of Human Services and accreditation entity policies and regulations.
- Responsible for the safety and care of children in assigned group.
- Support the philosophy of DCCC both at work and within the community.
- Assist in maintaining an attractive, orderly, and cheerful classroom environment that promotes active growth, learning, and a positive atmosphere for all children and team members.
