Production Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Prepping the product for packaging by taking off the meat from the chicken carcass by cutting, trimming, and slicing, then placing it on a moving conveyer according to the product type (Breast/Loins/Wings/Thighs/Leg).
- Separating the product when coming down a conveyer line into a bundle of two or more specified by order to be placed on trays to be packaged for shipment.
- Quality control of the products, making sure that they are being prepped to the FDA standards for the client.
- Prepping and making boxes of all different sizes depending on the order load for the day.
- When trays come into the weighing station, make sure that they are in route to the right line for packaging.
- Put the product in the boxes, weigh it, tape the box, and print off a label to be placed on the outer edge of the box, place the box onto a conveyer line to be sent to the shipping department.
- In the shipping area, lifting 40-50# (occasionally 70#) boxes consistently/repetitively to be placed on the pallets laying behind the conveyer lines.
- Operating forklift or electric pallet jack to move the pallets to the waiting area or truck beds for shipment.
Production Requirements:
- Standing in one spot for 8–10-hour days.
- Repetitive reaching, bending, and lifting.
- Repetitive lifting of 20-40# and on occasion 70#.
- Repetitive motions with shoulders and wrists - gripping, reaching, squeezing.
- Working for prolonged hours in 35–40-degree temperatures.
- Candidates must have a proven track record of several years of solid work history. Please include details of your work experience on your resume.
- Previous production experience is production is preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast paced and repetitive work environment.
- Ability to work effectively, not get distracted, and pay attention to the job at hand in these working conditions.
