Founded in 2003, Professional Builders Supply today operates locations in the Carolinas, selling, installing and distributing residential and commercial building materials such as lumber, siding, trim, doors, windows, decking and railing. The company also operates a truss manufacturing facility in Fayetteville, North Carolina and provides turn-key installation services for multifamily applications through its PBS Commercial brand and for residential roofing and siding via SouthEnd Exteriors.

Pay Rate: $ 21.64/hour

Position Overview

This position provides sales support with a strategic focus on key customer acc o u nt s and typically works in an office environment.

Essential Job Duties

  • Obtain orders from customers; enter credit return
  • Coordinate purchase and delivery of special products.
  • Processes new purchase orders, variance purchase orders, cancellations, and changes
  • Contacts builders with any discrepancies
  • Act as a resource for the purchasing and estimating departments.
  • Daily interactions with field managers to identify solutions for questions regarding materials and installation.
  • Check on back orders and resolve any outstanding issues; solve billing problems and compile data for closing.
  • Comply with Company's attendance policy by maintaining regular and predictable attendance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by location management.


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Minimum education required - High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum experience required - 1 year in building material industry with basic knowledge of product and application
  • Special skills required - Ability to operate computer & calculator. Knowledge of building supplies, applications, related equipment, and/or construction industry. Good interpersonal and customer relations skills and excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Physical demands include standing and walking for extended periods of time, bending or stooping.
