Responsibilities
ā¢Duties include sampling/picking up environmental samples of drinking water, waste water and surface water plus sampling/picking up agricultural samples of soil, plant tissue and irrigation waters
ā¢Also analyzing water samples for the presence of bacteria, shipping samples to corporate laboratory, and other general office work
ā¢The position will start with side-by-side route training in our company vehicle to learn the daily responsibilities and experience customer service and experience with our customers
ā¢You will be interacting with our customers and getting signatures for the samples as required
ā¢The majority of the responsibilities are in the field collecting samples from our customers (Chico all the way throughout Shasta County)
ā¢The position will eventually also may include cross-training to assist in the lab for testing samples
Qualifications
ā¢The ideal applicant will be eager to learn, possess great attention to detail while thinking critically, have the ability to multi-task and can work independently in a team setting
ā¢Must have a clean driving record
ā¢Must be self motivated and self disciplined, okay working outdoors, be able to perform physical activities and lift up to 50 lbs
Agriculture background preferred
Some lab experience preferred
Sample collection experience preferred
