The Senior Strategic Data Scientist at CoverMyMeds makes a significant contribution to the success of our company.āÆ This role is broadly responsible for value proposition refinement and supporting key customer teams by providing world-class analytics and insight into our vast store of live data.āÆāÆThis position collaborates extensively with business units and channels across the company and supports the business goals of external clients.āÆĀ

Serve as the lead point of contact for all customer analytics matters.Ā
Frequently develops proactive data and storytelling to help anticipate and meet the strategic needs of a customer and Customer Success Team (CST) leadersĀ Ā
Develop trusted advisor relationships with key accounts, customer stakeholders and executive sponsorsĀ
Develop custom data models and algorithms to apply to data sets, track model performance ensuring alignment to business value driversĀ
Utilize complex statistical and predictive modeling to make predictions about future outcomes and in multiple scenariosĀ Ā
Mine and analyze data from company databases to drive optimization and improvement of product development, marketing techniques, and business strategiesĀ Ā
Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectivesĀ
Clearly communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly analytics requests to internal and external stakeholdersĀ Ā
Lead new data-driven insight presentations with customersĀ
Use creative means to proactively identify areas of improvement to enhance product value for clientsĀ Ā
Forecast and track key account metrics (e.g., quarterly sales results and annual forecasts)
Assist with challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed
Perform in-depth analysis to identify key business risks and opportunities and make recommendations to improve overall profitability and value
Distill complex data and relationships into clear, concise charts and visualizations
Contribute insight to strategic and tactical decisions that impact competitive position, product design, analytics, and operations
Become a subject matter expert (SME) on CoverMyMeds programs and the pharmaceutical industry
Work on high-profile customer accounts in collaboration with account management teams.Ā

Ā Skills Youāll NeedĀ
BA/BS degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Public Health Information, Bioinformatics, or equivalent quantitative fieldĀ
5-7 years of experience in an analytics role
Statistical Software experience (PYTHON, R, MATLAB, SAS, etc.)Ā
Demonstrated data mining technical knowledge and skills for use in decision trees, multivariate analysis, segmentation modeling, factor analysis, regression analysis, forecasting, machine learning, etc.Ā Ā
Curious problem solver by nature; able to quickly make sense of complex data issuesĀ
Driven, self-motivated, team player adept at working in environment with competing priorities
Strong experience with data mining, analysis, and providing insightsĀ Ā
Adept at creating queries, writing reports, and presenting findingsĀ
Advanced proficiency in SQL
Advanced proficiency in data visualization tools e.g., Excel, Tableau, etc.Ā
Able to communicate and manage expectationsĀ
Excellent communication and presentation skills including to senior leadership and C-Suite external stakeholders; able to āthink on your feetā and respond to questions where the answer is not known or not straightforward (able to provide complex analysis in laymanās terms ā at varying levels of audience, from peer set to C-suite)
