Mechanical Engineering Technician, Direct Hire.
Columbus, Indiana.
Our client, one of the most successful high-speed, high horsepower engine manufacturers for applications in mining, rail, power generation, oil and gas and marine industries is looking for a Mechanical Engineering Technician for a Direct hire role, in Columbus Indiana.
Pay Range: $ 31 - $ 35
Shift:
8-hour shifts in the Day.
Monday to Friday: 7: 30 AM - 3: 3:30pm
Functions:
- Build, repair and prepare articles for testing and associated auxiliary equipment.
- Installs test article into test structure (test cell, table, rig, etc.).
- Depth understanding of the function on of the test equipment used to perform test and the contribution of the test equipment to the validity of the test results.
- Perform test stand installation, troubleshooting and setups and the upkeep and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
- Provide support/recommendations to engineering for equipment supplier evaluation and qualification, equipment and facility updates and instrument specification.
Requirements:

A regionally applicable Certification (e.g. US Department of Labor) or two year Associates Degree from an accredited college program in a relevant field of study.

Technician will service Fuel Systems Engineering Labs and/or Rigs.

Strong mechanical and communication skills are required.

Data processing and precision measurement experience is preferred.

CREO, Windchill, Cyflex, Calterm, and Machining experience is preferred.

Hands-on Strong Mechanical background strongly preferred.

Background or understanding of Machining, Welding, or Metal Fabrication preferred.
