Manpower Engineering is looking for a Quality Specialist for our client in Edinburgh, IN.  Contract position with opportunity for the right person to convert to perm. Will be working 4-10s Mon-Thu (7:00a-5:30p) with likely OT on Friday (7a-3p)

What you’ll be doing:

  • Program using PC-DMIS software and operate a Brown & Sharpe CMM with a Renishaw touch probe head to measure parts, prototypes, and check dimensions against a blueprint. Will also inspect fixtures, check for certification, and communicate any issues.

  • Completes Production Part Approval Process (PPAP).
  • Maintains Quality System and conducts ISO audits.
  • Supports the Team Lead and the Machinist/Assembler to work through quality issues.
  • Initiates Supplier Corrective Action Response (SCAR) and Non-conforming Material Report (NCMR)
  • Responsible for inspection records and blueprint retention.
  • Ensures gage calibration is completed on a timely basis.
  • Prepares monthly scrap report
  • Participate in customer and supplier visits.
  • Train Quality Systems and procedures.
  • Conduct internal audits on a regular basis

Requirements:
  • 2-3 years as a CMM Programmer/Operator
  • Ability to read blueprints to verify product meets specifications as listed on blueprints
  • Ability to work OT
