Description:
Lab Tech 2 Role:
-Use a variety of lab equipment to process standard and non-standard products using thermal cyclers and liquid handling machines
-Performs a variety of PCR protocols and post PCR cleanup steps
-Demonstrates aseptic and sterile techniques to minimize the risk of contamination of products
-Efficiently multitasks while running multiple processes
-Ensures accurate product records
-Use customer software in windows based environment
-Quantifies and samples products for quality control tests
-Troubleshoots product, process, or equipment problems
-Performs routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
-Experience with sterile technique required
-PCR experience required
-Experience with gel electrophoresis required
-Data sequencing experience required
-Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Biology or other related scientific field required
OR
- Associates degree in science plus 2 years of PCR experience
