As a Laundry Attendant, you'll ensure our guests' comfort by providing them with fresh, clean linen, enhancing their stay and experience with us. This role is pivotal within our operations team, directly contributing to the smooth running of the hotel and its reputation for excellence.

You'll collaborate closely with both the housekeeping and maintenance departments, ensuring timely supply and upkeep of linen. Responsibilities

  • You will operate washing machines and dryers to clean and dry hotel linens, towels, and other laundry items, following the manufacturer's instructions and safety guidelines.
  • We expect you to sort all linen and treat stains before washing to ensure high-quality cleanliness and maintenance of fabric care standards.
  • You shall inspect all laundry for damages and report any issues to the housekeeping manager to maintain quality control measures.
  • You must fold, stack, and organize clean laundry in designated areas for easy distribution to guest rooms or storage locations.
  • We expect you to replenish supplies and manage inventory levels of detergents and fabric softeners to ensure there is always enough stock for daily operations.
  • You will monitor laundry equipment for any signs of wear, tear, or malfunction and report necessary repairs to maintain operational efficiency.
  • You shall adhere to health and safety policies by maintaining a clean and safe environment in the laundry area to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • We require you to participate in team meetings and training sessions to stay updated on new cleaning techniques and hotel policies.

Requirements

  • You must possess the ability to operate industrial laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
  • You should have a keen eye for inspecting all laundry items before washing to identify any stains or damages.
  • We expect you to maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to health and safety standards at all times.
  • You will need to be proficient in managing time effectively to ensure all laundry is processed within the established timeframe.
  • You are required to have excellent communication skills for coordinating with the housekeeping department regarding laundry needs.
  • We require you to handle various chemicals and cleaning agents used in the laundering process following all handling guidelines.
  • You should demonstrate the capability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately for washing, drying, ironing, and folding laundry.
  • You must show flexibility in your schedule, as you may be needed to work weekends, holidays, and evenings depending on hotel occupancy rates.
