Job Description:

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Lead for all operational, financial, and compliance activities for Texas Medicaid supplemental programs (CHIRP, DSH, UC), including required reporting, data validation, cost reporting, budgeting, audit readiness, and collaboration with state agencies and internal leadership

  • Financial planning and analysis related to profitability, pro formas and special projects using cost accounting system and EMR

  • Assist with valuation from gross to net patient revenue

  • Assist with projection/budget related to patient volume and patient revenue

  • Support the Finance and Hospital Accounting team as determined by the Manager of Finance

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field

  • Require minimum of 5 years experience in healthcare

  • Willingness to learn various systems & technical skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, & PowerPoint)

  • Strong analytical mindset with ability to work independently and oversee projects

  • Preferred CPA eligible

  • Preferred experience with the following systems/applications; Workday, Strata, and Epic

  • Preferred experience related to Texas Medicaid supplemental programs
