JOB SUMMARY:
Assists in all Marketing/Communications department functions, including planning and executing marketing events, in-park events, media, and community relations with a focus on guest engagement.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Actively participates in all Marketing/Communication department functions
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Completes research and assists with blogs, writes fact sheets on timely news and events
- Manage, organize and create monthly reports on media coverage
- Escorts media, celebrities and VIPs during media visits and in-park events
- Assists in the planning and execution of media visits, live remotes, marketing events(festivals, activations, community relations, etc.)
- Manage all sampling and Corporate Partnership duties
- Assists with signage installation throughout the park
- Assists with monitoring social media and contributes to social media strategy
- Set high standards of performance for all areas within their responsibilities
- Ensure image, cleanliness and courtesy standards requirements are met
- Willing to interact with guests and assist with in park tasks
- Able to work efficiently in a fast - paced environment with an ongoing and friendly demeanor
- Must be professional, self-motivated, be able to multi-task and have an enthusiastic attitude

- Reports to the Marketing/Communications Manager

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Pursuing a degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, Journalism or related field preferred
- Computer Literacy. Strong knowledge of social media platforms, all Microsoft applications and Adobe Suite including Illustrator, Photoshop and Premier
- Required to work various shifts as project and park needs dictate, including nights, weekends and holidays
- Passion for the event industry with a focus on communications, marketing, tourism, theme parks and venue management
- React well in stressful and emergency situations
- Photography, Video filming and editing skills a plus
- Previous public relations, marketing, communications, journalism, or customer service experience a plus
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Comfortable working in a mixed office/outside in the park environment. Must have the ability to stand, walk, crouch, bend, stoop, kneel and lift to forty pounds
POSITION(S) AVAILABLE
- May – October: Spring 10-20 hours weekly, Weekends only; Summer: 20-30+ hours weekly, Monday – Sunday. Varied shifts.
