Associate, Technical Project Manager

The Associate Technical Project Manager is responsible for designing, implementing and updating systems in accordance with the needs of the bank. Activities include evaluating, scheduling and resourcing development projects, investigating user needs, testing applications, and preparing systems documentation. Executes technical plans, system analysis, detailed design specifications, coordinating testing.

Essential Functions/Responsibility Statements:

  • Leads the delivery of business technology projects requiring integration of multiple technologies
  • Maintains business technology services by supporting lifecycle projects and platforms while ensuring compliance with configuration standards
  • Conduct architectural and security evaluation, design and analysis of business technology applications ensuring robust systems solutions
  • Contributes to the improvement of process, procedures and protocols to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction in the most effective and efficient manner
  • Adheres to the risk frameworks, identifying and following policies, standards, and procedures relevant to its role including horizontal risk areas as regulatory compliance, BSA/AML, information security, data management, and third-party risk.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field.

Work Experience:

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in software development, information technology, application implementation, or similar experience.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Robust project management and quality management skills.
  • Proven track record managing large, complex software development/integration projects in both host, distributed and cloud environments
  • Demonstrated understanding of IT Service Management concepts and procedures, along with knowledge of security principles, frameworks (NIST, SOC2) and technologies (SSO, IAM)
  • Understanding of network and cloud security architecture along with security design reviews
  • Knowledge of risk management concepts related to systems security
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the latest technology innovations and their applicability to business operations
  • Experience with SDLC, Agile, Scrum CI/CD - tools such as Confluence, Jira, Jenkins, Git, GitHub
  • Demonstrated relationship management and leadership skills with a superior ability to make things happen through the use of influence and negotiation with all levels of management
  • Proactive team player with effective time management skills; ability to work independently, manage multiple deadlines/projects and keep key players informed
  • Ability to build credibility with, collaborate with, and influence line of business executives
  • Excellent analytical and complex problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills, from a detailed to executive level
  • Quick to adapt to changes and quick to execute
  • Confident in presentation skills, especially internal customer facing
  • Comfortable influencing without authority and able to operate independently
  • Collaborate with multifunctional and geographically dispersed teams in multiple time zones
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus

Working Conditions:

Frequent Minimal physical effort such as sitting, standing and walking. Occasional moving and lifting equipment and furniture is required to support onsite and offsite meeting setup and teardown. Physically capable of lifting up to fifty pounds, able to bend, kneel, climb ladders.
