Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour, depending on experience.
Es sential Job Duti es :
- D es i gns commercial and complex r es idential roof and floor systems and produc es layout.
- Discuss es chang es and corrections with engineers, architects and contractors prior to and during construction.
- Pr es ents, sells and follows-up on new jobs.
- Prepar es roof truss and truss joist layouts.
- Coordinat es , sells and do es follow-ups of new jobs.
- Performs job-site inspections.
- Produc es materials list.
- Determin es special not es to append contracts.
- R es olv es architectural and d es i gn discrepanci es .
- Maintains computer system and performs routine upgra d es to insure accurate and current application.
- Assists in the shipping department.
- Compli es with Company's attendance policy by maintaining regular and predictable attendance.
- Performs other related duti es as required by Management.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITI ES :
- Minimum education required-AAS in civil, architectural or d es i gn related field, prefer Bachelor's degree. Applicable work experience may be substituted for education requirement.
- Minimum experience required-3 years drafting experience in a construction or building materials-related industry.
- Special skills required-Proficient technical writing skills. Excellent sal es manship and communication skills.
- Special knowledge required-Reading and interpreting blueprints in an architectural related industry.
- Other-PC Literate with Microsoft Office products, AUTO CAD, and other d es i gn programs that facilitate learning in-house program with ease.
- Physical demands include sitting for extended periods of time, standing and walking, bending or stooping, lifting up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
