The Purchasing Generalist position will be responsible for managing purchase order and incoming imports documentation, expediting purchase orders and assist with various purchasing functions.

 Day Shift: Monday - Friday (overtime based on business need)

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the SAP System, including but not limited to, new item set-up, pricing, and item maintenance.
  • Assist buyers with purchase order confirmations to suppliers, comparing sales contracts to SAP system. Maintain accurate records of purchase orders.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to track and update delivery schedules, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of purchase orders.
  • Coordinate with our logistics team on open purchase order items and expedite shipments as required.
  • Maintain updated shipment statuses and arrival dates from freight forwarders and ocean carriers.
  • Work closely with key stakeholders to communicate updated delivery status on inbound shipments.
  • Customs entry preparation: Review inbound shipping documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading and submit to customs broker for filing with US Customs prior to shipment arrival.
  • Coordinate deliveries from port to our warehouse with drayage company and our receiving department including the return of empty containers.
  • Work closely with warehouse staff to monitor the unloading and put away status of inbound shipments.
  • Record receipts of inventory into SAP system and communicate to our accounting department.
  • Work with accounting department on reconciliation of import accounts on monthly basis and coordinate vendor payments.
  • Assist in resolving any supplier-related issues or discrepancies, supplier performance, quality control, or invoice discrepancies.
  • Maintain quality assurance and compliance records.
  • Work with warehouse receiving to perform quality inspection on new shipments.
  • Assist with product testing, compliance, and maintain accurate records of samples tested.
  • Assist purchasing team with monthly reporting including open PO report.
  • Interface with all internal branch departments.
  • Communicate with global manufacturers and suppliers.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Must possess one to two years previous office experience
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Outstanding problem-solving abilities
  • Previous experience with SAP system preferred
  • Strong PC skills to include Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Must be able to multi-task and detail-orientated

Majestic Glove salary range: $25 - $35 per hour based on experience, education and geographic location
