Medical Assistant

Description:

Ideal candidates will have proven excellent customer services skills, demonstrate an enthusiastic & professional demeanor, and excel at multi-tasking. Medical Assistants are an integral part of the care team; ensuring patient flow and providing quality patient care in a safe and timely manner.

Responsibilities:

• Follow protocol in rooming and exiting patients
• Pre-visit planning
  • Process calls and schedule follow up visits
• Managing all elements of the rooming process including screening questionnaires
• Coordination of care with other members of the care team
• Ensuring that all patient clinical quality measures are being addressed
• Complete all provider referrals for each patient
• Assist the medical provider with charting office visits; ensuring communication and documentation for comprehensive patient care coordination

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Must haves:

• Current/Active Certified or Interim WA State Medical Assistant License (WILL accept MA-R)
• 0-1+ years of experience (new grads OK)
• Excellent Customer Service skills
• Strong initiative and critical thinker.

Preferred:

• Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience preferred- EPIC
• Phlebotomy experience
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a major plus
• BLS (basic life support)
• Strong attendance history
• Pediatrics and Primary family clinic experience is nice

PAY Band: Low end for MA-R; high for MA-C
