Summary

The Speech Therapist is responsible for evaluation and treatment of pediatric outpatients with a wide variety of communication, cognitive, voice and swallowing disorders. The Speech Therapist develops a plan of care for each patient referred and is responsible for its implementation and modification as necessary in accordance with the hospital’s policies and procedures relative to care and treatment of patients.

Qualifications

Education
Required: Masters degree in Speech Language Pathology/Communication Sciences and Disorders

Experience
Required: Previous Peds experience

Competency in performing modified barium swallow exams a plus

Certifications
Required: Florida Speech Therapist License and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA, American Heart Association BLS
