Shift/Schedule: FT/Days

Candidate Requirements: Must have 2yr recent, full time Cardiovascular ICU/CVICU RN experience. Cath and/or EP Lab RN experience is a plus.RN Leadership experience (Charge or higher) required.

Patient Population:聽Adult Cardiology, Electrophysiology and Vascular patients.

Patient Ratios: Cath/RP team comprised of RN鈥檚 and Rad Techs working in 3-4 person teams to manage procedural patient care, collaborating with the proceduralist and anesthesia providers.

Number of Beds: 5 total invasive cardiology labs, including 2 electrophysiology labs.

Department Specifics:聽The BHVH Cath/EP Lab, working in conjunction with Baylor All Saints, is the only hospital in Tarrant count providing a full spectrum of Cardiology services, including LVAD, ECMO, E-CPR, TAVR, MitraClip and advanced heart failure programs. Over 1800 invasive cardiology procedures per year and over 800 electrophysiology and cardiac implantations per year. We cross-train staff members to be proficient in multiple roles in the Cath/EP Lab.

Job Summary

You oversee nursing staff and unit operations in the Catheter Lab. Your goal is to promote positive outcomes for patients and staff by fostering partnership. Your day involves overseeing operations and productivity. You assist the Nursing Manager with planning, developing, and evaluating policies. You also manage budgets and resources. Additionally, you manage quality improvement initiatives and organize educational programs. You will help with administration and provide hands-on nursing care as needed. The goal is to meet department and organizational priorities.

What Will Make You Successful In The Role

  • Familiarity with nursing practices and patient care standards are critical.
  • Aware of healthcare regulations; along with standards and guidelines stated by certification and accreditation entities.
  • Proficient in communicating effectively, orally and in writing.
  • Can provide and evaluate patient-focused healthcare.
  • Capable of making knowledgeable judgments about resource distribution and task assignments.
  • Basic computer literacy, with focus on Microsoft Office and clinical records management systems.

Qualifications

  • BSN or higher.
  • TX RN license.
  • ACLS, and BLS are required for the job. BLS must be acquired within 30 days.
