Under general supervision, the Maintenance Technician III performs skilled work in the specialized and preventive care, repair, and maintenance of heating and air conditioning systems and building systems and equipment. Performs heating and air conditioning, plumbing, electrical and remodeling work.
Work Duties
- Performs electrical work such as repairing and replacing switches, receptacles, lights, and motors;
- Performs maintenance, installation and repair of 3-phase motors and electrical installation (breakers, circuits, etc.)
- Performs plumbing installations and/or repairs such as repairing leaks, running new lines and plumbing fixtures, installing water heaters and commodes, repairing pipes, replacing valves, unclogging drains, and installing filters;
- With certification, may perform HVAC duties;
- Responds to work orders in a timely manner and performs follow up calls as needed.
- Repairs and maintains equipment in resident units and in community.
Shift:
Monday- Friday, 8:30AM-4:30PM
On-call rotation: Every four weeks, will be off Friday and Monday, work Saturday and Sunday
Pay: $28.00-$35.00 depending on experience
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSÂ
Education –
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a trade school preferred.
Experience/Training –
- Two to four plus years of experience in a related field of building maintenance or construction, or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations –
- Certification, license or equivalent as required under state and/or local regulation to operate or repair certain equipment in a technical field such as HVAC, building trades or building utilities program.Â
