Regulatory Specialist - Hybrid

SUMMARY

This position is needed to help update & maintain vendor documentation and related data in an effort to support the current business needs. The role provides Regulatory support for the overall business strategy of the organization, both internally and externally. It involves regular verbal and electronic communication with R&D, procurement and vendors to support the growth and productivity of the business. Ideal candidate has a knowledge of US food regulations and understanding of interpretation of vendor documentation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Regulatory Specialist to support the business /operations productivity to communicate with vendors technical regulatory inquiries, documentation needs and data maintenance and interpretation.
• A working knowledge of FDA food regulations and relevant product design status’ such as GM\BE, Allergens, GRAS, Vegan, Natural, Kosher, Organic, Halal, Nutrition.
• Additional knowledge of flavors, colors, botanicals and ingredients with international exposure preferred. Role will also require solid computer skills as it involves data research together with database inputs, maintenance and communication skills.

SKILLS& QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED

• BS Degree in Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Food Science or other related field; and/or equivalent qualifications through Associates degree and job experience.
• 1-3 years of regulatory experience, preferably in food/beverage, flavor or related industries.

PREFERED

• Strong, independent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong computer skills: proficient in MS Office packages; trainable in other software programs developed and used in-house.
• Proven interpersonal skills including ability to work well in a team environment, as well as excellent written and oral communication skills.
