Operations Technician

Description:

Operation Technician must apply skills to perform the following duties:

• Coordinate periodic manual inventory checks;

• Schedule and interact with delivery subcontractors;

• Receive and check investigational agents from their respective manufacturer(s); move drugs in and out of quarantine, both physically and in the database;

• Perform sample aggregations and splits, lot transfers, and inventory adjustments;

• Resolve preferred lots for shipping;

• Provide daily inventory reports to the DMID staff

• Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.

Basic Minimum Qualifications: The qualifications listed below are representative of knowledge, skill and/or ability. To perform this job successfully, an individual should complete each essential duty.

• Requires tried ability to communicate effectively verbally and in written form.

• Requires experienced ability to prepare reports using Microsoft Excel.

• Proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Word and possibly Microsoft Access.

• Basic knowledge of Universal Precautions, general laboratory, and quality assurance/control.

• Demonstration of good professional judgment when working with clients.

• Requires the ability to role model behavior consistent with what we value.

• Strong logic and problem-solving skills.

• Must be dedicated; able to function and complete tasks without continual oversight and direction.

• Must have high integrity and reliability, as database and inventory management are key aspects of the position
