JOB PURPOSE
Responsible for the supervision of Ready-Mix Driver working out of their assigned plants.
Pay Rate: $35.00 per hour
Location: Henderson Plant (10040 Dallas Street, Henderson, CO)
Key Area of Responsibility #1:Â Driver Supervision
- Ensure all drivers work efficiently and safely
- Ensure all necessary equipment & PPE is available to the employees & properly used
- Communicates with Dispatch to maintain efficient use of employees and equipment
- Co-ordinates with Dispatch and Plant Superintendent, any ‘light duty’ assignments that may arise
- Communicates all concerns and ideas from employees to proper management
- Organizes employees as necessary for driver vacation time
 Key Area of Responsibility #2: Hiring, Training and Maximizing Employee’s Potential
- Interview and hire new employees (Drivers)
- Responsible for ensuring new employees receive training and assessment
- Ensures all necessary documents and testing required by employees is completed
- Monitors compliance of the Code of Conduct Manual by all employees
- Responsible for coordinating Performance Improvement Plans (PIP) with guidance from the Area Manager
- Responsible for administering disciplinary action within guidance from Area Manager
- Completes annual performance objectives and accountabilities for all employees
- Ensures drivers participate in all current training and safety programs
Key Area of Responsibility #3: Site Supervision of Jobsites
- Determines proper access to jobsites prior to pour dates on major pours
- Meets with customers to determine proper procedures for pours
- Attends pre-site meetings and acts as a liaison between customer and dispatch
- Coordinates clean-up efforts of material spills on jobsite or roadways
- Determines if any hazards exist and communicates them to both customer, sales, and dispatch
Key Area of Responsibility #4: Administration
- Ensures all communications to administration is done accurately and timely
- Communicate with Dispatch daily driver/truck report
- Maintains all employee recordkeeping is accurate and timely filed for all necessary paperwork to include DVIR’s, FLRA’s, Work Orders, etc.
- Maintains proper records for employees. Ensures all disciplinary actions are properly recorded and filed with HR
- Weekly Safety Observations of employees to promote excellent safety practices and correct potentially hazardous practices
- Maintains and develops computer skills necessary for efficient use of time
- Ensures all timekeeping is completed accurately and approved
 Key Area of Responsibility #5: Equipment and Other Responsibilities
- Ensures all mixer trucks are clean and in good working order
- Reports all equipment problems to the shop lead as soon as possible
- Attends the sites of major pours and ensures efficient use of all equipment
- Keeps accurate records of all pours
- Helps when necessary, other areas of the Ready Mix Division
- Contribute to positive employee morale
 Qualifications
- High School Graduate / GED or equivalent experience from within the Ready-Mix Concrete industry
- Class B Commercial Driver’s License
- Preferred 3-5 years’ experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified
- Basic computer skills
