Chemistry Lab Technician

Our client, one of the most important companies in the agricultural chemicals Industry, is seeking a Chemist. 

Job Title: Chemistry Lab Technician
Location: Indianapolis, Indiana 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Responsible for NMR sample preparation and NMR instrument upkeep and liquid nitrogen fills.  

  • Responsible for analytical sample preparation and UPLC maintenance and troubleshooting.  

  • Support the execution of small molecule purification methods via normal & reverse phase LC (Gilson and Teledyne ISCO purification systems) or SFC, & flash chromatography with UV/ELSD/MS detectors. Critical Success Factors 

Requirements 

  • Minimum B.S. in Chemistry or a related discipline. B.S. in Chemistry with 3+ years industrial experience with chemical laboratory instrumentation (NMR, IR, Waters/Aglient instrumentation) and separation/purification sciences or M.S. in Organic Chemistry preferred.  

  • Demonstrated understanding of chemical laboratory instrumentation (NMR, IR, Waters/Aglient instrumentation), NMR and various analytical sample preparations and analysis.  

  • Demonstrated ability to operate and troubleshoot analytical & preparative instruments such as normal & reverse phase LC (Gilson and Teledyne ISCO purification systems) or SFC, & flash chromatography with UV/ELSD/MS detectors. Experience with Waters and Aglient instrumentation, IR and NMR instrumentation preferred.  

  • Ability to effectively interact and collaborate with multidisciplinary and cross-functional teams to solve problems.  

  • Strong scientific creativity, analytical and critical thinking skills, and demonstrated customer focus.
