What we do:

This role is responsible for the Non-Destructive Inspection of aircraft components and parts along with standard inspection, assembly, repair, and troubleshooting of aircraft avionics, electrical (high and low voltage), mechanical, and instrumentation systems on rotorcraft in support of Test and Evaluation Programs. This position’s primary responsibility will be the non-destructive inspection; the secondary role will be to support the team in inspecting the day-to-day tasks for maintenance and assembly of test assets and aircraft.

What you can do:

  • Inspect components as they are received in accordance with drawings, technical documentation, and industry standards
  • Perform detailed measurements applying various simple and complex measurement tools
  • Test electronic components and circuits to locate defects using signal generators, amp meters, voltmeters, and other measurement equipment
  • Read and interpret various aircraft drawings, schematics reports, or specifications
  • Use various test equipment (oscilloscopes, multi-meter electronic bridges, loop calibrators) and hand tools
  • Finish the written and electronic records (work orders, calibration sheets, time cards, material requests) required to document the work in progress and as it is completed
  • Work directly with engineering and operations to resolve problems
  • Must maintain a clean working environment at all times
  • Familiarity with standard and non-standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the aviation field
  • Perform build-up and maintenance of test articles, ensuring that quality objectives, configuration control, and conformity requirements are met
  • Implement the tests using the procedures and methods to determine the maximum quality of the product
  • Perform NDT Level II inspections using the Ultrasonic, Eddy Current, and Liquid Penetrant testing methods on items including, but not limited to, rotor blade and structure, using approved or accepted data issued by the manufacturer, FAA, or company standard practices
  • Maintain certifications (MT, ET, PT Level II) and use these methods in any articles
  • Inspect duties, organize and generate reports pertaining to inspection and evaluation
  • Prepare reports on all testing and evaluations done
  • Ensure that the equipment’s used for testing are all functioning to its maximum and according to safety regulations
  • Up to 25% of domestic and international travel
  • Other duties as assigned

What you can contribute:

  • GED or HS diploma required; college degree preferred
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience as an Aviation Technician (an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered)
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in Quality Assurance
  • NAS-410 LVL II, ASNT NDT LEVEL II, ASME LVL II or Suitable Substitute
  • Experience in Rotorcraft
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proactive delivery of communication and follow up
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Must have the ability to independently prioritize and accomplish work within time constraints
  • Proficiency with Excel VLOOKUP, pivot tables, MS Office Suite

You may also be able to contribute:

  • Experience in non-destructive testing within an aerospace environment preferred
  • Experience in Experimental Flight Test preferred
  • Airframe and Power Plant License preferred

Base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge and location.

The per-hour pay range for this position is:
$55$65 USD
