Support Six Flags Great Adventure’s local area network (LAN) and its Systems’ Hardware and Software. Provide front line technical and analytical support. Coordinate user training for all operational, business and administrative systems used by Six Flags Great Adventure, Hurricane Harbor, Wild Safari & Savannah Sunset.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support of all Information Services functions as assigned
  • Adhere to and enforce all corporate Information Services standards and policies
  • Ensure the information systems infrastructure is properly maintained and operational
  • Provide software and hardware support to limit downtime for on-site operational and administrative systems including but not limited to servers, point of sale systems, admin PCs, local area network, printers, VoIP, mobile devices, audio, and TV
  • Supervise seasonal staff, including hiring, training, evaluating, discipline, recognition and termination decisions
  • Work with IS Corporate in planning, executing, coordinating, and verification of software and hardware installation, implementation, testing, and upgrades, to ensure quality of systems operations and performance
  • Communicate status updates with Corporate and park management on projects and help desk tickets 
  • Document all help desk calls in the help desk system ensuring prompt response to all I.S. calls and work orders
  • Coordinate and escalate support issues as needed to the appropriate corporate and/or third party support teams
  • Maintain and update the Six Flags inventory system while following change management policies and procedures
  • Responsible for interacting with Guests and resolving complaints and addressing concerns
  • Ensure 100% compliance with all standard operating procedures as they relate to Six Flags standardization and/or Federal or State guidelines
  • Train, audit and adhere to all labor laws and guidelines to insure full compliance with Federal, State, and park regulations
  • Commitment to department, park and company standards
  • Perform other incidental and related duties as required and assigned
  • Job Duties subject to change with the creation of centralized Information Systems functions

 

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Education and/or experience equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in MIS or a relevant IT field
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in systems engineering, systems support, or in a technology-related field
  • Windows operating systems experience required
  • Professional audio and/or video experience desirable
  • Knowledge of cabling infrastructure and experience working with managed, mixed local area networks
  • Strong independent technical troubleshooting ability is essential
  • Good organizational and project management skills
  • Must possess strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
  • Strong work ethic with an exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Occasional travel for training, and assistance at sister properties may be required
  • Must be 18 years of age or older and a valid New Jersey Driver’s License
  • Ability to handle multiple situations simultaneously and meet deadlines in an efficient manner.
