Six Flags Great Adventure is seeking an outgoing and creative person to join our Human Resources team. This position is responsible for the supervision of the Human Resources Department for a variety of functions including compliance, and daily operations.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee the Employment Center day to day functions, including interviewing, paperwork processing, answering of telephones, and daily employee interaction.
- Enforcement of all company attendance policies and procedures, including any applicable warnings and/or counseling sessions
- Facilitation of new HR processes and continual training, including Smartsheet, Teams, and EAS
- Ensure Human Resources representatives are consistent and enthusiastic when assisting team members, and other departments.
- Interface frequently with local departments to understand all departmental objectives and discover necessary tasks to aid them in analyzing and improving their business
- Track and analyze statistical data to coordinate targeted hiring efforts, training effectiveness, HR compliance, and employee retention.
- Assist in the planning, communication, and execution of all employee events, as well as employee recognition and awards programs.
- Continually train, evaluate and coach/counsel HR staff as needed while Setting high standards of performance for all areas within their responsibilities
- Foster an environment of teamwork, professionalism, resourcefulness and efficiency.
- Create and post HR employee schedule and monitor payroll and expense
- Maintaining compliance with laws and policies regarding employment of minors, including working papers and schedules
- Perform all other duties as assigned and assist with other areas of the Human Resources Department.
- Job Duties subject to change with the creation of Park Support Services in the Human Resources functions
Minimum Requirements:
- Two to three years of Human Resources management experience is required.
- Degree or relevant work experience in Human Resources preferred
- Must be able to maintain the confidentiality of Human Resources documents and other proprietary information.
- Demonstrate willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
- Will be required to work various shifts as project and park needs dictate, including nights, weekends and holidays.
- Must be professional, possess effective communication skills, energetic, self-motivated, able to motivate others, assist in park wide projects as required, ability to multi-task, possess strong leadership skills, and have a positive attitude
- Computer literacy with proficiency in all Microsoft applications.
- Must have the ability to stand, sit, and walk for prolonged periods, as well as, and lift to forty pounds occasionally.
