Job Description

The Capital Markets business at FIS is a $3bn high growth segment delivering leading edge solutions to the world’s biggest Investment Banks, Asset Managers & Hedge Funds, Private Capital, Lending, Insurance and Risk Management firms.

In Capital Markets at FIS we are transforming the way we work. We are driving a Scaled Agile transformation of our end-to-end work practices to improve time-to-value for our clients and accelerate revenue conversion for our businesses across all our 35+ platforms. This transformation impacts all our functions - supporting Build, Implement and Run.

This is a key leadership role within Professional Services (Implement) as part of that mandate: Responsible for driving re-engineering of business processes and organizational change across the FIS Capital Markets Services organization, especially focusing on professional services implementation methodologies and driving our strategy in terms of adopting new tools and technologies like Gen-AI.

As we focus on transitioning our business lines to the Cloud and true SaaS offerings, it is critical we can improve implementation timelines across our platforms and product suites.  To achieve this, we need to adopt new ways of working in a cross functional pattern in partnership with our Product, Engineering and Client Experience colleagues – this role will lead the cross functional partnership on behalf of the Services organization.

This role will report to the SVP Division Executive for Capital Markets Services and will be a key member of the Services Management Team. We are seeking a US or UK based professional.

JOB DESCRIPTION

General Duties & Responsibilities

  • Primarily review existing ways of working/methodologies with our Services delivery and practice leaders and develop & implement new, innovative ideas to radically improve how Professional Services delivers to clients with a big focus on shorter time to value.
  • Also drive Scaled Agile cross departmental change initiatives for process improvement. Lead programs that will increase process automation, facilitate task alignment to skill set, eliminate process waste and/or reduce process risk to accelerate time to value for our clients.
  • Responsible for identifying and executing opportunities to lever new technologies and tools (e.g., Gen AI.) to achieve our goals.
  • Creation of realistic goals & implementation plans that are achievable and successful.
  • Champion process improvement methodologies and culture across the Services organization.
  • Collaboration with business & product leadership and the wider Technology & Services Functions
  • Promote and drive continuous improvement in all aspects of Services delivery.

  • Demonstrated change agent with the ability to drive through improvements through influence and relationship building across a matrixed organization.
  • Demonstrable ability to drive (Scaled Agile) transformation programs in a financial or professional services setting.

  • 15+ years of work experience in financial services industry.
  • 10+ years of Professional Services, Consulting or Industry Change Management experience

The successful candidate will have a transformational track record in and implementation orientated environment, ideally with experience in capital markets. This individual will have a history of managing business transformation and performance, and leading cross functional Scaled Agile transformations. This leader will have proven ability to execute flawlessly and drive/motivate others to do the same. Success in this role will be determined by the individual’s track-record of building sustainable and exponential business change and growth over an extended period-of- time.

  • Exhibits a passion for the client, ability to prioritize and retain focus, execute relentlessly, experiment and drive innovation.
  • Strong problem-solving ability, and practical experience in delivering complex solutions in a fast-moving business landscape. Adaptability in pressure situations, and empathy for clients and staff.

Strong Communication & Client Management Skills

  • Highly articulate communicator who can convey important messages in a clear and compelling manner at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven track record working with senior managers and maybe executives, equally comfortable addressing large public audiences or senior level customers.
  • High level of energy and a personal style that engenders loyalty and trust among team members, at all levels within the organization.

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • Accredited in Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
  • SAFE credentials
