Job Title: Analytical Technician (On-Site)

Work Environment:

Monday - Friday

8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Job Description:

The Analytical Technician will work, under minimal supervision of the Research Scientist, on various short- and long-term projects (in-house and outside requests). The incumbent will work in a hands-on capacity to assist the Research Scientist with assigned projects.

You will be responsible for the testing customer implementations of microorganisms and preparing.

You will participate with internal and customer driven research projects.

You will maintain accurate and timely record of test results; perform standard and complex laboratory procedures; work collaboratively with various departments to compile, analyze, and interpret data.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute to project from inception to completion / revenue generation

• Perform a variety of laboratory techniques and/or protocols for Analytical Chemistry/Quality Control/Quality Assurance

Skills & Qualifications:

Education:

  • Minimum –Associates (2 year degree) of Science Degree in Biology, Microbiology, or a related field.
  • Will accept current Bachelors Students as well.

Must haves:

  • Strong attention to detail in order to produce accurate, precise, and reproducible data
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills
  • Task oriented and results driven
  • Strong work ethic and prioritization skills
  • Design, collect, and write publishable work
  • Work collaboratively with various departments to compile, analyze, and interpret data
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail in order to produce accurate, precise, and reproducible data to support scientific investigations
  • Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s

Highly recommend for candidates that have previous laboratory experience - including basic skills such as pipetting, weighing, diluting, etc. PCR, Real-Time PCR, Microbial plating, ELISA, SDS-Page. Highly recommend candidates that have worked on independent research projects before!
