Physical Therapist Assistant, PTA - Crawfordsville - $30-39/hr

Job Summary
Interim HealthCare of Indianapolis is seeking to hire a Physical Therapist Assistant in the Lafayette area for Rehabilitation Services . The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive background in Physical Therapy Assisting and will work with patients to improve their quality of life. This position requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and an Indiana Physical Therapy Assistant license is Required.  At least 2 years of recent and relevant experience is also required.

Compensation & Benefits
This is a full-time, M-F 13-week contract position with a rate of $30-39 /hour paid weekly. Subject to change based on availability and location.

Responsibilities

• Help patients perform exercises and activities outlined in their treatment plans under the direction of a licensed physical therapist.
• Observe patients during therapy sessions, noting their progress, and reporting any concerns or changes in condition to the supervising physical therapist.
• Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure safety and comfort during therapy sessions.
• Instruct patients and their families on exercises and home care techniques to promote recovery and maintain progress outside of therapy sessions.
• Assist with the application of therapeutic modalities such as heat, cold, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and traction as prescribed by the physical therapist.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress, treatment plans, and interventions according to regulatory requirements.
• Set up and maintain therapy equipment and ensure a clean and safe environment.
• Collaborate with the physical therapist in developing and implementing rehabilitation programs tailored to each patient's needs and goals.
• Offer encouragement and emotional support to patients during their rehabilitation process.

Requirements
• Indiana State Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license.
• 2+ Years of recent relevant experience as a PTA
• Ability to be flexible, and work with a large team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
