Position Summary:
Facilitates the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures. The primary purpose of the  Surgical Tech position is to assist the surgeon and RN’s in operative procedures. Â
Reports to: Manager of Surgical ServicesÂ
FLSA: Â Non-exempt Â
Minimum Qualifications:
X High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
X Graduate of a Program in Discipline Preferred
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Certifications:
X Surgical Tech certification required within 6 months of hire.
X Associates Degree AND 2 years of experience required if they do not have a Surgical Tech certification on hire.
X Basic Life Support (BCLS) within 30 days of hire
