Responsibilities:
- Drive one of several different shuttle or company non-revenue vehicles in a safe, courteous, and reliable manner throughout the contracted service area within a daily assigned time schedule.
- Maintain a strong attendance record.
- Perform pre/post trip vehicle inspections as required.
- Possess a functional knowledge of the demographics of the service area.
- Stop at designated points to load and/or unload passengers.
- May assist in the boarding of passengers using wheelchairs or other mobility aids and is required to properly secure wheelchairs and scooters.
- Notify dispatch of deviations, overload, accidents, passenger incidents, medical/behavioral problems, or bus mechanical/electrical trouble.
- Assure that fares are deposited into the fare box and dispenses information. Advises passengers of rules and regulations when necessary.
- Complete and submit written reports concerning passengers and all accidents.
- Operate on-board computer equipment, fare boxes and destination signs.
- Consistently provide great customer service
- Assume any and all other duties assigned.
Requirements:
- 21 years or older
- Valid driver’s license for at least three years
- Excellent verbal communication & customer service skills
- Subject to DOT drug testing. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including marijuana, for any reason.
- DOT medical card required. (We pay exam fee!)
