Job Summary
Performs preventive and corrective maintenance of equipment, systems and structures throughout the facility.
COMPANY DESCRIPTION
Frye Regional Medical Center, located in the beautiful foothills of North Carolina is a 355-bed acute care hospital, 81-bed Behavioral Health facility and more than 70 primary and specialty care providers.
Essential Functions
- Installs, tests, maintains, and repairs machinery, equipment, and systems as scheduled or needed.
- Performs utility and structural repairs as needed, alone or in collaboration with internal/external tradespersons.
- Assistance with motors, pumps, conveyor belts, sterilizers, pneumatic tubing, HVAC, refrigeration equipment and medical gas delivery systems as assigned. Gives assistance with vendors as needed.
- Moves items within/between locations and from/to storage.
- Adherence to all core measure initiatives, patient safety goals, and NQF Safe Practices.

Minimum Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum Work Experience
- Specialized training, good mechanical skills required
- 2-4 years related experience required.
- Good verbal and written skills preferred.
- Lead critical communication skills to staff preferred.
