Under general supervision, the Beautician performs all standard beauty salon services such as styling, cutting, dyeing, shampooing, permanent waves, etc. with special consideration given for the needs of an aging population. As a representative and team member of the company, this position is expected to present oneself in a manner that reflects professionalism and ensures resident satisfaction.
Schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday
Pay: $23.29 - $29.21/hour
The following duties are normal for this position. These are not exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.Â
Work Duties
- Performs hair styling duties;
- Performs haircuts, hair dyes, permanent waves, shampoos, etc.
- Schedules appointments and completes billing form; completes charge slips and conveys to business/administration office;
- Attends in-service training and meetings as required;
- Conducts work tasks safely and in compliance with the facility safety program;
- Provides effective and courteous service to all residents, guests and co-workers;
- Promotes and protects the rights of each resident;
- Performs other related essential duties as required.
To be successful in this role, you will need the following qualifications:
Education –
- Vocational education/technical training in beauty/cosmetology school   Â
Experience/Training –
- 3 to 5 years’ prior experience; or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations –
- Cosmetology License is required
