About The Position
 A multi-specialty clinic in California is seeking a skilled Family Practice Nurse Practitioner for a 120-day locum tenens assignment starting 05/27/2025. The ideal candidate will provide primary care services to patients of all ages, including complex cases with dual diagnoses and individuals transitioning from incarceration or homelessness. Working Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM (Thursdays 9:30 AM to 5 PM), the NP will perform basic primary care, pap smears, and injections. Experience with IUD and Nexplanon insertions is a plus. This role requires proficiency with Epic OCHIN electronic health record system and offers the potential for extension.

Responsibilities and Duties:
• Provide comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages
• Manage complex cases, including dual diagnosis patients
• Offer care for individuals transitioning from incarceration or homelessness
• Perform basic primary care procedures, including pap smears and injections
• Conduct IUD and Nexplanon insertions (preferred but not required)
• Utilize Epic OCHIN electronic health record system for documentation
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care
• Adhere to all clinic policies, procedures, and safety protocols
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current medical practices and treatments
Additional Information:
• Must be licensed to practice in California
• Experience with Epic OCHIN electronic health record system required
• Comfortable treating patients of all ages and backgrounds
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills essential
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience with complex patient populations preferred
