• Shifts Needed to be Filled:
      - Jun 5-6, 17-21
      - Jul & Aug: all month
• Shift Schedule: 6a-4p or 3p-1a
      - 7 on, 7 off preferably
• Ave. No. of ICU Patients per day:
      - 20-25 (Trauma)
• Support Staff: 1 other Trauma-NP/PA (7a-5p).
• Duties/Skills:
      -  Will be supporting 1 trauma surgeon on call & responsible for monitoring, managing & discharging all of the patients on trauma service.
      - Qualified to manage pediatric trauma patients (ped trauma volume is low but experience is req)
      - Surgical Assist is NOT part of the job.
• Required Procedures:
      - Low/moderate risk procedures: laceration repair, IV access/IV insertion-peripheral line, fracture & dislocation reductions (minimal/moderate displacement).
      - High risk: G-tube placement, endotracheal intubation, cardioversion/defibrillation, LMA, paracentesis, chest tubes, central & arterial line placement.
• Trauma Level: II
• EMR: Cerner Care B
• Other Info: 6a-4p: new locums cannot work those shifts in the beginning as there is not much support on those shifts.
• Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance covered

Job Requirements

Requirements:
• Active CA License
• BC
• CA DEA
• ACLS, BLS
• ATLS (hard req)
• NPs must have CA NP furnishing number.
• PAs must have Completion of CA CSEC (CA Controlled Substance Educ Course.
• Qualified to manage pediatric trauma patients
• W/ experience on Trauma
• Actively working at a TJC-accredited hospital
• Local (highly preferred)
