- The media prep technician is responsible for preparing media for the sample prep team. These samples will then be processed for pathogen testing as requested by client. Example testing includes but is not limited to: Food poisoning, pH, and bacterial testing.
- This person will be recording samples for weight, time, and media used.
- This person will set up equipment and materials needed for analysis.
- This person will be involved in handling an Autoclave.
- This person will be washing and filling racks with sterile tubes.
- This person will be responsible for labeling and storing samples.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- 1+ years experience in GMP, food service or fast paced collaborative work environment.
- Time management/planning skills - this person must be able to prioritize samples and tasks effectively in a fast environment.
- This person must have a strong work ethic and accountable
- Candidates from Panera and Starbucks have seen success in this role.
