Pay Range: $17.00 per hour

Position Overview

Receive, ship, stock, order, and cou n t inventory items while monitoring quality and completing all ap pr o p riate paperwork . May pro vide work direction to other warehouse associates but does not supervise. This associate is responsible for overseeing the safe movement of materials and finished components in an efficient manner. Op era tes forklift truck with foot and hand controls for various aspects of job.

Essential Job Duties

  • Op era te safely.
  • Participate in a positive work environment.
  • Assist warehouse associates and direct supervisor in maintaining an organized work environment. May include, emptying trash receptacles, and keeping all bays and staging areas clean and organized.
  • Receive incoming pro ducts, commodities and materials.
  • Pro vides Excellent Customer Service
  • Cou n t and record receipt of materials.
  • Stock all material received in ap pr o p riate bins or storage locations.
  • Assist inventory control in cou n t ing and organizing warehouse materials.
  • Comply with all company policies and guidelines.
  • Op era te forklift with foot and hand controls.
  • May use forklift to build outgoing orders or to load completed orders onto delivery equipment
  • Op era te facility equipment as necessary ( e.g. bander, power tools, various hand tools).
  • Monitor inventory as required by location management.
  • Retain an awareness of the work environment critical to the task at hand to pro duce error free and damage free results.
  • Participates in and completes assigned trainings .

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Minimum education preferred -High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to do basic math, read orders, write instructions and complete forms.
  • Ability to effectively and pro fessionally communicate with customers, other employees and supervisors using verbal and written skills .
  • Ability to deal constructively with conflict and recognize potential pro blems.
  • Pro ficiency with or ability to learn current technologies ( e.g. Smartphone, Inventory Control Systems and other necessary business applications).
  • Physical demands include standing and walking for extended periods of time, exposure to extreme temperatures, bending or sto op ing, regularly lifting up to 50 pounds and frequently up to 100 pounds or more.


Criteria for Level II

  • 2+ years industry experience / freight handling.
  • Excellent teamwork & customer relationships
  • Demonstration of leadership (three out of four required):
  • Mentor new associates
  • Willingness to train others
  • Safety committee engagement
  • Participation in US1 Continuous Im pro vement Pro jects
