Actalent is IMMEDIATELY hiring for a BIOLOGIST in the Manassas, VA area.
Description:
- Conducts viability, growth and purity checks on Mammalian Cell Cultures.
- Completes laboratory work orders as scheduled.
- Works under a Quality Management System with strict adherence to Work Instructions/SOPs.
- Enters in-process data into fillable forms and adheres to proper document entries format and procedures.
- Determines if Quality Control assay results meet product specifications and compiles results for Certificate of Analysis.
- Strictly adheres to proper safety procedures in a BSL2 environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a science related field and 3-5 years’ experience.
- Cell culture experience with strong aseptic technique .
- Experience working in a manufacturing/QC lab for a biotech company or (next best) in a diagnostic lab environment.
- Attention to detail in lab work with accurate record keeping.
- Ability to multitask multiple work orders in various stages of completion.
