Description:
- A fragrance company that makes hundreds of different fragrances from personalized to smells that go into other products. They are looking to hire a lab technician to join their team on a 6 months contract (could go longer, could be shorter, could lead to perm opportunity if a position is open which is likely). This person would work alongside chemical operators and fragrance scientists to test incoming products, in process, and final samples before being sent out to customers. They will be working 90% of the time in the lab and the other 10% will be documenting or pulling things from the floor, but the primary job is in the lab.
- The type of testing they will do and learn to do: physical property testing, specific gravity testing, ph. Eventually could be trained on GCMS. This person will be compounding/creating the individual fragrance, restocking the lab, refill the lab. Since they are working with a variety of scents, they cannot have any allergy to fragrances.
- This person will eventually be responsible for compounding and testing 12-20 formulas per day. This person will be working independently but will be expected to help out and communicate with peers to ensure all products is being sent out on time.
