Description:
- Operates and controls a processing unit or a series of units to effect specific chemical changes in formulated products to desired results
- Follows prescribed and standardized procedures with some degree of latitude due to the reactive nature of the substances processed
- Measures and charges materials into processing equipment, transfers same in accordance with processing sequence
- Observes instruments and gauges, obtains samples for testing, maintains process records as required
- Regulates and adjusts manual, automatic or electronic control devices to bring about proper chemical reaction or results
- Modifies standard processes under the direction of the lab to correct batch irregularities
